#GivingTuesday on December 1st 2015

Our vision at LINK of Hampton Roads is to break the cycle of poverty and homelessness in our area. We are a nonprofit organization founded in 1990, that exists to help people “help themselves” through education, advocacy, outreach and direct service programs.

Our programs include emergency services such as distribution of food and clothing; as well as long term support for over 30,000 individuals and families annually. We believe that homeless individuals are NOT HOPELESS, and as a community, we can help them.

Your donation on #GivingTuesday will support all of our homeless assistance efforts, including our flagship program: PORT – the largest Emergency Shelter on the Peninsula, responsible for hosting over 500 homeless men, women and children during the winter months.

Here is a short video explaining just a little bit of what we do:

Thank You!

LINK of Hampton Roads wanted to post a big thank you to Cozzy’s Comedy Club for helping our fundraiser be a success and thank you to Lorain Cosgrave, the owner of Cozzy’s, for putting such an enormous amount of time and effort to local non-profits!

We’d also like to say thank you to all the folks who came out to the event! This event helped up raise $796 for our Human Services Programs! We appreciate everyone who helped in this event and those who donated to such a great cause and hope that you continue to support LINK of Hampton Roads!
